Lists his wife but I cannot read the name she was born in MS, George was listed as being born in GA. I have a lot of the info. from him til today. I think he was buried in the old Higgins cemmetary that is near Bear Creek. He owned the property where Bear Creek is located and a portion of the ground around Bear Creek until the state decided to buy this ground and make Bear Creek sometime after the 30's I believe.

The last record we have of Elbert and Eunice – as well as several of their 15 children – is the 1860 Polk Co., census. However by 1870 some of these boys were located in Van Buren Co, and 1880 in Faulkner Co., with their families. But since most of the girls would have married in the 1840s, 50s, and maybe 60s, and many courthouses were burned since that time, we have not been able to locate marriage records, therefore do not have surnames to work with. So, I am sending out a plea to anyone who thinks they might be descended from one of the following to get in touch with me. James White b 1838 Walker Co., AL Adaline White b 1839 Walker Co., AL Nancy White b 1840 Walker Co., AL Elbert W. White b 1841 Blount Co., AL m 26 August 1875 Sarah “Sally” Newman Unicy (Eunice?) Is this any help? Or can you add to my search for the Gipson family. James Franklin Gipson is supposed to be buried in a cemetary by old Winter's Farm. I have not been to Moro, so do not know the location. Would appreciate a reply. Thank you.
