In the 1860 Census of Randolph Co., AR, North Twp was E.J. KELLETT and his wife Harriet. They were married in 1856. Also in the home was their first daughter Mary P. born 1858, she was listed in the Census right under Harriet her mother. The next child listed was EARLS, William age 5. The questions I have always had are: 1. Who is William EARLS? 2. Was he William EARLS or William Earls KELLETT (child by a first marriage of E.J. KELLETT) Do you know of any EARLS children who might have lost their parents during this time period and they were sent to other homes to live? Do you know of an EARLS/KELLETT marriage? I find it interesting that if this child was William Earls Kellett that Harriet placed him after her daughter. The family history tells of a son who did not get along with the Harriet and ran away and was never heard from again. Now this could be William Earls or third child, Alfred J.
