Dear ListMembers - Sending what I hope will be the last word on this book for awhile. 1) The Family History book effort has had its ups and downs. Lessons learned for the next such undertaking. 2) The various mgrs of lists related to NE Arkansas will attempt to assist by posting updated information when we receive it. PLEASE don't send any of us enquiries about specific entries, mistakes, etc. regarding this book. We are not coordinating this effort. 3) My last update regarding info posted on the the web regarding Family History submissions ... indicated that the info was posted hurriedly ... is representative ... and is not accurate in quite a few cases. Ms. Waites has assured me that the Family History book does not contain the errors we see in the web pages. SO, we will wait and see. 4) Do NOT take anything on the web as factual information. ANYTHING ! Unless ... it happens to be a photo of an actual document. Even that should be scrutinized. There's a lesson here for all family researchers. 5) Feel free to discuss family research and related topics on this list (and via ARLAWREN). We want to maintain a sense of community here. 6) But, please, do NOT use rootsweb lists as a forum for personal complaints or grievances. If you are not satisfied with something, contact the responsible parties. If possible, we will assist you in connecting with the right people. If you have a problem with anything that is happening on these lists, contact me off line and I will endeavor to help find a resolution. ARLAWREN and ARRANDOL have been excellent discussion lists for many years, and listmembers both old and new are the best anywhere. Let's keep it that way.
