    3. I have HOLLOMAN / HOLEMAN / HOLMAN line on my mother's side. An Edward HOLMAN (etc.) was the 2nd husband of my great-great grandmother Parthenia. Found them on the 1870 census in Monroe County where Parthenia ANDREWS/ ANDERS HOUSE HOLMAN COOPER lived from about 1856 until about 1898. They had a son Ed HOLMAN (I have a photo). The father Edward HOLMAN died in 1873 and Parthenia married Dillard L. COOPER in 1876. In about 1898, when Parthenia and Dillard's daughter Clara married William David McLAIN (from Lawrence County) Parthenia lived with the McLAINs in Jackson County in and near Newport. I have found nothing on this Ed HOLMAN, from VA, parents from England, other than on the 1870 census. Can't tie him in anywhere--yet, anyway. As for your Lowery HOLEMAN/HOLMAN, etc., maybe the following is him: 1930 Census, Arkansas, Lawrence County, Hoxie town, district 8 (twp looks like Boos, but not sure) Roll T616_80; page 8A; Enumeration District 8, Image 0665 HOLMAN, L., age 75, Indiana, age 22 at first marriage, father from Indiana, mother from NC, no occupation shown wife shown as M.J., age 68, Missouri, age 16 at first marriage, father from MO, mother from KY House 186, neighbors were: Crowden and Gullett Also, on 1920 census, I did an general Soundex search for HOLEMAN and found something of interest . . . QUESTION: Was one of his children named ALICE? on the 1920 Census, I found an 18 year old Alice indexed under HALMAN, but the online image looks like HOLMAN to me--and Alice, born in Arkansas, is shown as a "Foster Child" in the home of Charlie Stridelin, age 41; wife Edna, 36; with 3 natural sons aged 11, 8 and 6 mos. living in Lawrence County, Lawrence twp, ARK, ED 180, T625_69, Image 0083 Hope some of this helps. I have his death Certificate and it gives Hoxie as where he died.. Also says he had remarried after my last info he was a widow.. in 1910 I have not found any info on Children for him.. Thinking the state may have gotten the children after his first wife died? I had to use name variations to find him at all.. Was under Holeman on 1910.. > Thanks to any who are willing to help > Deanna > > > > > > > ==== ARLAWREN Mailing List ==== > NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain > letters, political > announcements, current events, items for sale, personal > messages, flames, > etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds > for removal. > Consideration for exceptions, contact Kathleen Burnett > kathleenburnett@earthlink.net > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > >
