Lanita, I was just at the Powhattan Museum on last Saturday and Evelyn Flippo, the very knowledgeable lady there told me that everything they had regarding marriages could also be seen at the Arkansas History Commission in Little Rock. There is no copier at Powhattan. Little Rock is closer for me to research, but then I have family in Lawrence County still. Lanita, I'm confused. Can't you get the marriage records from the county seat in Walnut Ridge? I have ordered numerous records from them. I was at the Arkansas History Commission last summer but wasn't looking for any marriage information. Don't know what they have there in that area.
