AGEE mother unknown. A Smith Co,TN 1850 census possibility. McLAIN b, about 1869 *Louise McLAIN, age 18 in 1860 TN, b1841/42 (as well as C. McLAIN daug.inlaw; J. MOSIER, b circa 1879, IN,; and a baby McLAIN in household in 1880-- WD (below) missing that year, tho I'm sure above C. is his first wife, Cordelia MOSIER and baby is theirs. -----and John and Sarah's son, my great-grandfather . . . **William David McLAIN, b Nov. 21, 1859, Walnut Ridge, Lawrence, AR died in Jackson Co, Newport, Oct. 15, 1921 of cancer. First wife: Cordelia MOSIER, b c1860, IN (1880 census); Marr. Oct. 10, 1878, Lawrence Co. Both are buried in Walnut Grove, Newport, in "McLain" area. W.D. McLain served for many years as County Judge (Jackson)--sometime between 1898--and his death in 1921. I'm told records are available on his history. First hospital, school in Newport attributed to his donation of land?, etc. A Newport street named McLain likely named for family. --------------------------------- McLAIN-MOSIER Children, L.M.McLAIN, b 1879, d? McLAIN b 1898, Brinkley, Monroe Co., AR, died 1979, my great-grandmother: Clara raised W.D.s children by Cordelia, and W.D. and Clara and WD had 9 surving children of their own. I have names, but won't list unless somebody out there has some info / ties to family. Clara COOPER is daughter of PARTHENIA ANDREWS / ANDERS (GA) HOUSE HOLLEMAN COOPER and father DILLARD L. COOPER. Parthenia migrated from Wilkes co, GA to Monroe County,with parents Micahel and Parthenia PULLIN ANDREWS-circa 1856-57. Family known by ANDERS in AR, but found them also as Michael ADAMS & Parthenia on 1860 census. The daughter Parthenia had several husbands. Lived with Clara and WD till 1915 death in Newport, ARK.
