    3. Could you be thinking of Piney Fork. It was a political township in Lawrence County in 1850. It's been in Sharp County since it was formed in 1868. Piney Fork Township is located around Evening Shade which, I believe, was the origional county seat of Sharp Co. I found some early land records in the 1850's in the area of Norman's. (A John in 1896 and an Issac in 1856. I also found a John Norman in Pope County in 1860. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenda" <ken-womack@worldnet.att.net> To: <ARLAWREN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 07, 2003 7:27 PM Subject: [ARLAWREN] Piney Ford > Can anyone give me info on town called Piney Ford. 3. Yep, my fingers hit the keys before my brain clicked in and I did mean to say Piney Fork. Is Piney Fork still there or long gone?? What do you mean "political" township. Word is not familiar to me in reference to a town? BTW, I just re-joined this group and can see it's going to be a big help already. Thanks everyone for the great "go outta your way" help. On the land records, I found land records for Isaac, John W., and Richard from 1856 to 1860 but it didn't show the John in 1896 or the John in Pope County so I appreciate your help Could you give me the plat info on the John in 1896?
