Would anyone on this list have access to burials around the Marion township area? Looking for burial of Reuben GILLESPIE who died during the 1860's. Thanks Jackie
Dear ListMembers - Effective immediately, I am turning over ARRANDOL and ARLAWREN RootsWeb discussion list management duties to Kathleen Burnett - email: kathleenburnett@earthlink.net. This past week, my Mother required emergency heart surgery and I am travelling out of state. Also, during the past few months, my regular job, and other personal commitments, have left me with less time available to manage these 2 lists. ARRANDOL in particular is extremely active and deserves a ListMgr who can devote the appropriate amount of time to meet your needs. I will continue to assist Kathleen in maintaining the Randolph County GenWeb site, and, of course, I will always be a listmember of ARRANDOL and ARLAWREN. As I've been out of pocket this past week, I will make sure that any backlogged msgs/requests you've submitted will be taken care of shortly. I have thoroughly enjoyed managing ARRANDOL and ARLAWREN the past few years. This is one of the best communities in all of RootsWeb !! Thank you so much for your patience, consideration, and cooperation during my tenure. More importantly, thanks to all of you for your valuable family history & research efforts and contributions. And how about a warm welcome for your new ListMom - Kathleen !!! :-D Sincerely, ///Steve Looney///

Safe meaning a place where you are not subject to postings other than posting related to the subject of the list. For your information, the ARLAWREN Mailing List has 176 members, 144 of these are subscribed to the Regular List and 32 to the Digest List. Consideration for exceptions, contact me, KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net If you would like to visit the archived messages for this list you may go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com and type in ARLAWREN From there you can search by date. There is a great Rootsweb site, Password Central, you can go to if you want to find out what Rootsweb lists you are a member of or need to unsubscribe from a list, just follow the instructions. http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ I wish for each of you a success with your most difficult genealogical mystery and I look forward to getting to know you. To Carol and friend: I have been to the courthouse there and done research, they were very nice and helpful. If I was looking for a city directory...I would go to their local library. Good luck! Carolyn in NLR, AR
This is from a friend who lives in Alabama, but has connections in Arkansas, Lawrence & Randolph Counties. Could someone help her with her questions? I have no idea about where to look for city directories in Walnut Ridge area. Thanks, Carol Thompson twistere@pokynet.com E-mail me & I'll forward your reply. Got a question. When I get to Arkansas I want to go to Walnut Ridge. My father's birth certificate states that his father, Wade Anderson Templeton, was living in Walnut Ridge at the time of my father's birth. I know Wade and Lottie Lou Claunch Templeton were separated at the time; my dad was born in Jonesboro. They later divorced and remarried in 1911 in Paragould and then divorced again! My question is, where would I go in Walnut Ridge to find info on him; City Directory, etc. He either owned a drug store in Walnut Ridge or was a pharmacist in a drug store there. I am not sure now whether he died in Walnut Ridge or Pocahontas. The undertaker who buried him was in Pocahontas, however. He wrote my dad wanting to be reimbursed for the burial. Thanks for any info.
