    3. I need information about the Brady, Caspar, Dent Dunn, Buchanan, Campbell and Cunningham families. The Author of this scrapbook was Mary S. Buchanan Dent Brady 1849- 1941. The original scrapbook was donated to the Lawrence County Historical Society by Lois Marie Ethridge Farris Brady, wife of Harvey O. Brady. It states that Eli Brady (1832-1899) was the son of James Isaac Brady and Hannah Caspar of Cumberland County , North Carolina. Scrapbook contains obituaries and various news articles relating to people who lived and died in Lawrence County. If this book was donated to The Lawrence County Historical Society, would it be located in Powhatan? thanks, Carol Thompson Pocahontas, Ark. twister@pokynet.com

    3. I am passing along a query from Kristen West kristen@westweb1.net. She is not part of the list, so if anyone can help her, please contact her at her e-mail address. -- Original Message -- I've been searching for information on your website about the Townsend/Bryant family. Oddly enough, they are not relatives; they are who built and owned our house for 80 years or so. I found on the Law. Co historical society page W.A. Townsend mentioned, but only in passing. I'm truly searching for pictures of our house and some info on Judge Townsend, so we can complete the DOE for the first step in being listed on the National Register. I contacted Mrs. Flippo and searched the Powhatan Courthouse. There, I found a book that had quite a bit of info about William A. Townsend...it even said "he moved to Walnut Ridge and built a beautiful home there"! So I was thrilled that our house was mentioned in this book (I believe it was written by Walter E. McLeod). Anyway, if you know of someone who would have any old pictures of homes in Walnut Ridge, I would hope they would have at least one of our house! :-) Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Kristen West kristen@westweb1.net

The Times Dispatch in Walnut Ridge only goes back to 1957. Depending on the year, it might also be in the Pocahontas newspaper. I will be glad to try and help. 2. Sheri Lynn Tuck
    3. Well, ladies, thanks so much for your responses. Since Book F is apparently missing, I guess I do not have any way around it! I had a feeling that they weren't trying very hard for me when I called. My ancestor that I am researching is Jesse PRIVETT and he is on page 31 of Book F. His daughter is transcribed as "R.E. Privett" and her name is actually Pearcy Elizabeth Privett. She is my gg grandmother and I was wanting to see the actual page because since the writing is flowery and old, I figure the "R" is really a "P." The daughter listed as "R.E." is the right age to be my gg grandmother and all the pieces fit but I just wanted to see the actual document. Thanks for your thoughts and responses! If anyone ever hears that the book is found, remember me! Sheri Lynn Tuck Fayetteville, Arkansas
