    3. Lanita, I'm confused. Can't you get the marriage records from the county seat in Walnut Ridge? I have ordered numerous records from them. I was at the Arkansas History Commission last summer but wasn't looking for any marriage information. Don't know what they have there in that area. 2. Have you heard of Russel Baker with the Arkansas History Commission? This is located at One Capitol Plaza. I understand that there is a History Center also in Little Rock, but I'm not sure where it is located. I have not checked out the marriage records in Little Rock. I was looking in Lawrence County's marriage records last Friday and they tell me they are trying to get their records "digitized"; and I asked if they'd be available online. They didn't know. I did not ask what would become of those hard copies. Some of their first two record books are so delapidated, but I still like looking at originals. I made a few copies that I probably would not have made but I wanted to get them while I could. Two reunions next weekend, one on hubby's side and one on my mother's mothers side. Does that last half of sentence make sense? Mothers mother was a Bufford and their reunion will be with the Western Sizzlean in Batesville. I remember corresponding with you a few years back but I've forgotten who's marriage record you were looking for. If my hubby doesn't think he'll make it home from his construction job by next weekend, I may be back in LawCo all by myself. Guess where I'll be spending some of my Friday? At the courthouse. Lanita, I was just at the Powhattan Museum on last Saturday and Evelyn Flippo, the very knowledgeable lady there told me that everything they had regarding marriages could also be seen at the Arkansas History Commission in Little Rock. There is no copier at Powhattan. Little Rock is closer for me to research, but then I have family in Lawrence County still.
