Delores, I'm afraid I mis-quoted in my previous message. It was not Jenny Raines who married Elisha Rowan. her name was Jane (Jenny) Reynolds. The Rowan twins, Elijah and Elisha, age 15, were living in the household of Robert Raines in 1850, Dekalb Co, AL. There is speculation, and the probability, that the Rowan twins were sons of a Rowan man who married a Raines woman, sister of Robert Raines, but I have not been able to find a marriage record to that effect. I was hoping you would see a connection.
