If my memory serves me right. All you have to do is save a file as a GED COM. Then you can send it to anyone. When you go to save it as (the Ged Com) It will probably give you some choices as to what you're going to put in that file that you are sending. Most Genealogy Programs tell you how to make a Gedcom file. Sometimes, you can mark the items that you do or do not want to include in that Gedcom. Your manual or your help part of the program should tell you how to do it.
