Hello Listers, I am in need of your opinion for a project I am trying to start in Arkansas that would involve the writing of a genealogy column in an Arkansas newspaper. I am seeking the input of as many of you as possible to "test the waters" before I pitch my idea to any Arkansas newspapers. I would like to know if you would enjoy reading such a column, if you would support the column by submitting queries (free of charge of course!) and by writing the editors to tell them how much you appreciate the column (by e-mail if I can arrange that, since that would be more convenient). I have 15 years of experience as a writer and more than 20 years experience as a genealogy researcher, so I have lots to share, but of course, I don't "know it all" and am still learning new tricks everyday, just like most of you. I would also like to know if any of you already have a genealogy column in your hometown newspapers, and if possible if you could send me the name of the paper (a link to it would be even better!), including the name of the column and it's author so I can do more research on what is already "out there".
