Hello Everyone!! Hope you're all having a great summer! Just thought that, since things are running kind of slow right now, how about we all send in queries on our brickwalls, as in time, area, name, and any other info you think would be helpful, and maybe list the other surnames you are researching. Who knows, you may find someone not on vacation, who may actually have the information you're looking for! :-) Surnames I am researching; Achor, Worz, Woodward, Wilson, Boothe, Lakey, Morris, Stodghill, Robinson/Roberson, Shatwell, Essex, and Martin. In the following areas; Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, New York, New Jersey and Ohio. Happy Hunting, List Mom (AKA, Diana) [email protected]
I am researching the ancestry of John W. POWELL who lived in both AR and MO. John W. was born 1875 probably AR and died MI about 1954. He is listed on the AR censuses of 1900, 1910 and 1920. His wife and children were also enumerated. Where was John born? Who were his parents? John lived a long while in Truman, AR where most of his children were born and raised. In his will he disposed of his Truman, AR lands. Information on his descendants is also welcome. Amos PAXTON born VA ca 1793 was enumerated on the Crittenden Co. census 1850. He purchased land "West of the TN River"1832; NE quarter of Section Twenty, Twp. one, Range Six West. Any information on Amos and his descendants [as well as origins of Amos] appreciated. William PAXTON was also enumerated Crittenden Co., AR. William was born KY. Any information on William and his descendants/origins welcomed and appreciated. Thomas A. PAXTON born KY ca 1829 was in Craighead County, 1860, and in 1880 he was in New Madrid Co., MO. I am interested in learning anything about Thomas A. but at present would like especially to learn his parentage. I have been unable to locate Thomas in AR during the census of 1850. A John PAXTON of AR is of interest. I have not yet located him on the census, so any John PAXTON of AR is of interest. Finally, any of the Cherokee People of AR are of interest, but particularly any PAXTON/POWELL folks. Any help appreciated.
