I'm grasping at straws here - again. Trying to find if there was a marriage license listed for GEORGE WASHINGTON STURGEON sometime between 1899 and 1904 - thought it might be in Johnson County but evidently not - I do know he is listed on the 1910 census records in Johnson County AR. Thought it might help to check surrounding counties of Perry, Pope, Franklin, Yell??? George was born 1870 or 1873 in Ozark, AR Franklin Co and d 1949 buried Macedonia Cemetery Conway AR. His first wife was Emma Louise Fish Pruett and they were married abt 1895/6 Yell county?? divorced abt 1900??? - the second marriage I am looking to confirm is his marriage to his stepdaughter Laura Pruett and she might have used the name Laura Williams? On the 1910 census their records (George and Laura) that they had been married 9 years? Can anyone help????? [email protected] Dee Johns
