Van Buren Argus, Crawford County, Arkansas: August 30, 1905 The "blind tiger" at Jonesboro was dynamited a few nights ago and the men who were accustomed to going there to quench their thirst know the place no more. It is the old story of officers refusing to do their duty and winking at the very laws they swore to enforce when they took the oath of office. The "blind tiger" was being run in a brick building in the business portion of the city. There is one advantage about the dynamite treatment of "blind tigers" and that is everyone learns very quickly that it is not longer doing business.
