I recently read in the paper, all records are going up in price. My favorite-- death records are going from $8 to $12....or was it $10???? Anyway... up they go! You might want to get there this week before the price goes up Sept 1st to save a few dollars. In my case I need a bunch more! Carolyn
Harriett Hatfield was born to Elias and Nancy (Smith) Hatfield in Ark (probably Crawford Co.) ca. 1843. They were in MO. in 1850. Family later returned to Ark before 1870. Elias died before than. But where is Harriett? I am searching for who she married and any descendents. Also when & where she died. I am a descendent of her brother Francis Marion, know as Marion. Any help is appreciated. Thank You Dora Lue

Heads up on a very new----very mean virus. Though I don't normally do this, and do request that you NOT reply to the list, but to me, List Mom, personally, I feel this is something that everyone needs to be aware of. Hi, Would someone who has access to film rolls make a copy of the May 12, 1909 death record for William Franklin Campbell b. December 22, 1862? I would very much like to learn who his parent's were, and since I only have an "about" year (1886) for his marriage to Rose Ada Gibson, I'm hoping his folks are listed on his death record. William died in Cash, Craighead County, AR and is buried in the Gibson Cemetery, there in Craighead County. I would deeply appreciate this, thanks. ~Michelle
Newsgroup Announcement: For those of you who are familiar with the USENET binary newsgroups, there is a new one for genealogy researchers. The name of the newsgroup is: alt.binaries.e-book.genealogy Shortly, there will be a corresponding "discussion" group for the new newsgroup: alt.binaries.e-book.genealogy.d NEWSGROUP PURPOSE: The purpose of the new newsgroup (alt.binaries.e-book.genealogy) is to provide a place to share scanned genealogy books, genealogy books from CD and other printed genealogical materials. This is where you may find and share those old, out of print or never published materials and unidentified photos, which people have stuck in their closets. :-) This newsgroup will be of greatest interest to those who are already familiar with USENET and newsgroups, specificially binary newsgroups. If you don't know about newsgroups, and the huge amount of genealogical info that flows freely across USENET each day, then please ask one of your computer literate friends to explain how to access newsgroups (sometimes relanguaged to the term "discussion groups"). List Admin: If I have accidently sent this to a list where I'm no longer a member, will you please post it to the group for me??

I have gone this route because my mother always told me that her mother was Cherokee Don't know why she put it that way, why she didn't include herself. I've also gotten that confirmation from one of my cousins. (Who I met doing research on my grandmother). The following is all I've been able to get in my quest for a tree for my grand kids. I have not included myself or my mother in this post: If the following rings any bells I'd appreciate the help. I can not afford at this time to purchase any thing to aide in this search as I'm am laid off and looking for work. My Great grand mother and father is where I've gotten way lost. I can't seem to get further. THank you in advance for your support. Hi, Arkansas is a pretty big state. Do you have a county or township and dates?? If you have Ancestry.com that should help you. You'll have to be more specific than just a name.
