    1. [ARKANSAS] SHERIDAN in Service
    2. Charles Sheridan
    3. Hi Members Here's my question concerning my grandfather William H. Sheridan. In the 1890s he came to Arkansas from MN having been born in 1861 in NYC (I have no info on him between his birth and marriage). He served in the Spanish-American War as a 2nd and then 1st Lieutenant, 2nd Ark. Vol. Inf and that outfit was sent to GA. He had 2 children, Margaret in 1895 and Robert Dewey in 1897 who were born in Gillette. While I have little info on him at this time I do have some info from his military service. What I am looking to obtain is information concerning his parents which I would hope would be on his enlistment papers; where he worked and lived while in Arkansas; and why would a northerner be given a commission in an Arkansas Volunteer Infantry. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you. Charlie FL

    3. I am looking for any information on James H Warren, born around 1885 in Missouri. He married Lavena (Lavenia, Venia) Lipscomb around 1902. They had 3 children together. Helen (born in Missouri), Rosebud (born in Arkansas... probably Craighead County), and Jesse (born in Nettleton Arkansas, Craighead Co.). I got all this info from the 1910 Arkansas census. In the 1920 census, Lavena and the children are still in Nettleton, but James is no longer there. Helen's son once told me that James left Lavena, but I cannot find a trace of him after that. Any info on this family would be GREATLY appreciated. Jackie _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
