    1. [ARKANSAS] HARRISON John T and Mildred/ Yell County
    2. Hi list, Does anyone have a Cemetery Index for Yell County? I am seeking information on the burial places of John T. HARRISON born about 1854 in AR and his wife, Mildred born about 1858 in AR. They are listed as living in Yell County, AR in Ward Township in the 1900 census [with sons, Thomas and Michel, ages 16 and 13] but are not in the 1910 census. The 1900 Census said that this mother had had 6 children with only 2 living. I found this family in the 1880 census in Franklin County, AR with twin sons, Jefferson and Jesse, five months old. I believe that Mildred died before 1908 because a John T. HARRISON got married to Rosan Farnsworth in Sept of 1908 in Yell County. My grandfather is their son Thomas Hezekiah HARRISON born Jan 31 1884 in AR and died Oct 15, 1926 in Picher, OK. thank you in advance for any help or insight you might be able to provide. 2. Reply to Jeri Helms Fultz: It's not just the Bill Couch site, it is many, many Rootsweb sites. I belong to about 10 Rootsweb sites and upon trying to get into a site that I have used at least 2 years, AOL.6.0 now tells me the site is "down"....or prhaps the site has "moved"....or "not a known server"....or other messages. The URLs in most of my Favorite Places are now not letting me get to that site. I have called AOL and reported that and other problems with 6.0. One technician had me change some settings and delete I.E. as the default browser. I did everything she told me to do and guess what?....still had the same problems. Tried to use the stand alone version of I.E.....and again, AOL did an over-ride and wouldn't allow me to do that. I am just about at my wit's end with AOL. For more than 4 years I have put up with them putting my emails into "mime" or "whatever" when I get emails from a brother in Fla. who has GTE.net, and a nephew in Ill. who has Earthlink. Crazy system.....and now, I think I've had it. I'm going to have to pay someone to come in and help me clean the files once I change. I deleted AOL 6.0 once and it deleted all my PFC files and downloads. Fortunately, I found lots of them through Windows Explorer and was able to retrieve about 80%....but what a mess. I have been so busy with other parts of my research, and it's frustrating not to be able to get into the sites I need. Wilma Williams in Calif.

    3. Does anyone know anything about: 1) Where Napoleon AR was before it was washed out and what town took its place? and 2) Where I can find an 1865 or earlier map that might show it? 3) Are there county plat maps that show townships and sections in the public library or historical library in Benton Co, Washington Co, Sevier, and Randolph Co? Thankyou so much. Please have nice weather for me next week. I am just escaping being snow bound! *sob* My tulips are just starting to peek out of the ground. 3. Hi Anne, Thanks for responding. We hope we can get this straightened real soon. It's either some setting in AOL or Compuserve or the people that Bill has his server with. It has just happened the past week or so... and it's Bill Couch's whole state of 75 counties that's affected plus the Civil War pages. Hang in there! 3. I would like to thank all of you that answered about the Arkansas Gazette. I am new to the list and I can tell already what a friendly and helpful list this is going to be. Is there someone there in Arkansas that would do a couple of lookups for me in the Arkansas Gazette? I am in Texas and do not have access to the microfilm. I would gladly return the favor if you need something from Texas. I am searching for information concerning James and Rachel Lindsey. I understand that the March 9, 1831 Arkansas Gazette records not only their deaths, but the death of their son Carlton to some kind of epidemic. I would like to obtain a copy of that article. Their son Eli's death was reported in the Arkansas Gazette on May 13,1834. I would like to have a copy of that article. The marriage of their son,Burkett Lindsey, was recorded in the Arkansas Gazette Dec 21, 1831, and of course, I would like to have that article as well. James and Rachel Lindsey were my ggg grandparents, and Burkett Lindsey was my gg grandfather. I appreciate the answers that you gave me so quickly about the Arkansas Gazette. Linda Bowden
