Hi Dotta, :-) As is RootsWeb's definition--Spam is the name given to any unwanted email. Generally, it is mass mailings offering get rich quick schemes, advertisements, porn, virus warnings, hoaxes, etc. It is not welcome on any list and it causes many problems. The massive loads these mass emails produce can cause the computers at RootsWeb to grind to a halt. Maiser, a former genealogy server like RootsWeb, was brought down by a single spammer (the person who sends the spam). If you cross post to more than a few lists, you may be considered a spammer by the RootsWeb computer. At that time your message will be blocked, and possibly your name and address will be blocked from RootsWeb too. Interested in finding information on father of parental great grandfather John Jackson Roberson, August 19, 1852-1934, born White River Arkansas, possibly White River near Jackson Port. Mother of John Jackson Roberson is stated as being Annie Eastwood, married to James F. or John J. Roberson. Unknown Roberson died ca. 1852 in or near the birth place of his son. There is a possible Madison County, Alabama connection with this Roberson family. The movements of the mother and child after the death of the father coincide with many that moved to Arkansas and Northern Louisiana from Madison County. Family members have mentioned the possibility of Tennessee as a state of origin. Spelling variations possible Roberson/Robertson/Robinson. Annie Eastwood Roberson later married Lovin Green and settled in Ouachita County before moving to the Bossier Parish area of Louisiana. <<<<A little background on John Jackson Roberson>>>>>>> John Jackson Roberson The birth date and place of birth (August 19, 1852-Jacksonport, Arkansas) for John Jackson Roberson are recorded by him on July 30, 1874, in his Family Bible. This has caused a great deal of confusion for various family members researching JJR. Roberson, grandson of JJR, who was 24 years old at the time of John Jackson Roberson's death. "James F. J. I have a GGGrandmother with the maiden name Peebles. I have not been able to find much on her but I found she was born somewhere in Illinois her fathers name was George and she married Elijah Oliver Evatt. Her name was Martha Lillian Peebles. Does anyone know anything about her or her family?? Please let me know if anyone can help me. Thanks, Tatum
Please, I need help! I am trying to locate my great great grandmother Caroline Daniels b: 1840s-mid 1850s in Georgia. Caroline could be her middle name. I know that she had to be old enough to give birth to my great grandfather in 1870. She married Elisha Garrett b: abt1849 in Union County, Georgia. She ended up in Benton County, Arkansas, where my great granddad was born in 1870. Here in Arkansas it would have been Caroline Garrett. b: Ga. 1840s-Mid 1850s Any & all information would very much appreciated. Thank You Gayle M. Garrett <[email protected]>

Hi, I'm interested in obtaining a death certificate for a relative who died in 1942. He reportedly died at his home, but I'm not sure whether his home was in Oregon County, Missouri, or in Randolph County, Arkansas. I would be very greatful if someone would check for the following individual in the "Arkansas Death Record Index 1941-1948". Alexander Jefferson "Jeff" Hall Died on October 6, 1942 Thanks so much, Mike Landwehr
