    3. Pass this along please>>>> Subject: Purple Ribbons A movement has been started like that from Desert Storm. During Desert Storm we tied yellow ribbons anywhere we could. Well, now the movement is to tie purple ribbons the same way. This is for two reasons. 1. In remembrance of not only the firefighters, police officers, paramedics who have died, but also for all who have died in this terrible tragedy. 2. Just as in the military, when a serviceman get injured, he is given the Purple Heart. Well, our country has been injured to its core. Please pass this on to everyone you know, and let's see purple ribbons everywhere. Along with the flag of the United States of America. -- ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø Every time I find an ancestor I need to find two more! ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø

    3. Yes, Red; it would be a pity, and I am afraid it has come about in many schools, not because it was declared a prayer and so illegal, but because no one has time for it anymore. I would like to hear from people who KNOW that the school in their neighborhood still teaches it to the students and has them recite it at least once a week. Our patriotism becomes shaky in times of security and neglecting to use the Pledge and the Anthem are partly to blame, it seems to me. The Anthem is not difficult to understand nor to sing if it is played in a key a third lower so we can all sing it. It has a range of only one octave and a third; no more than many popular songs. 3. Mary Lou and others, This is indeed, a sad day! I live just south of Fort Worth, so Mary Lou, we're almost neighbors. I'll be praying for your family and all the others that were affected today. One thing that I would like to mention, being an employee of a local hospital ER (yes, I'm on 24 hr call until this is over), is that we need to make a big effort to give blood. It doesn't matter where you are, we were in a national shortage crisis before, and now it will be even worse! Give blood where you are, it will be shipped where it's needed! Thanks for listening to my little soapbox, my mother and I are on our way to the blood donor center in the morning!
