I just checked all of the 1880 census for a Wilkins Newton, none showed. Maybe he went by his first name or initials. Could be he has already passed by the. Johnnie

Johnnie, If you have the 1870 Independence co cen, would you look in Batesville tws on pg 114 for family living there with a DARK listed in home and pg 74 for a INGRAM family. I have looked at these on film but they are so bad I can not make them out. Thanks if you can help, Dortha

Yes, Wilkins NEWTON of Madison co. Wife Lucinda WILSON NEWTON . Story is Wilkins served in CSA. I haven't been able to find him after the war of northern aggression. His son, my grfather was killed serving in CSA and I am trying to find what happened to Wilkins. They lived near Kingston, Ark.
