AR, AR, AR This is the only Cates entry in the 1880 index You should be able to find pension papers which would include both application and termination documents - these are on microfilm by state in which the pension was applied for. If you don't have access to the Ark. History Commission (they have them on microfilm and would answer a mail request for a small research fee and copying costs), try the local LDS library, where they should be available on temporary loan.
