My grandfather Martin Standridge and Grandmother Climmie Standridge (Savage-Maiden Name) and all my relatives including my father Lloyd Standridge are all buried at Richland Cemetary in Lurton Arkansas. My name is also Lloyd Standridge. I used to ask my dad about Yates when I was a young boy, but was told not to mention his name again. I remember one story, when he and his wife were surrounded by a posse and he supposedly made his wife dress in his clothes and go out of the cabin in front of him. You know how stories get twisted over the years. Another story said Yates was ambused by a jealous Indian whom was jealous over him messing with his wife.
