Newspaper (name not on the copy)-- Grude Selby: Lamar, Ark., April 21 -- Funeral service for Grude Selby, 50 years old, a farmer of the Garrett Comunity near here, who died at his home Sunday evening 7:00 after a long illness, was conducted at the Lamar cemetery Monday afteroon with the Rev. B. L. Harris, local Methodist pastor, in charge. Besides his widow, Mr. Selby is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Claud Childers and Ima Jean; four sons Billy, Joe, Vernon, and John Selby all of Lamar; his parents Mr. & Mrs. E. Selby; three brothers Ed Selby and S.O. Selby of near here and Jim Selby, of Long Beach, Calif., and two sisters; Mrs. Clyde Nordin, Lamar and Mrs. V. R. Brown, Knoxville. Burial was in the Lamar Cemetery. Note- Billy Selby is William McGruder Selby Jr., my husband's grandfather.
