You have no idea how hard I tried to find Serilda in the 1900 census, and no wonder no one can find her! She married again. I had James Caldwell Williams's last son, His name was Thomas J. Williams his mother was the mother-in-law of James Caldwell Williams's son- James Preston Williams. Her name was Susan ??/Swing/Moody/Williams and she was married somewhere to James because you find her later living near Francis Marion Williams only her name is listed as Susan Williams. It is possible he married in Oklahoma because we can't find record of this marriage but we find Susan using the last name Williams and she bought land near Little Rock about the same year you find Thomas J. living in his brothers home. As for Serilda Williams- she was a Marvel, but this is what we are trying to find out, if Mary Marvel and Serilda Marvel where 2 different children born to George Marvel & if not then who is Serilda Williams's parents. I don't know at this point. I am also a Marvel family member. My Great Grandmother was a Marvel, her line is directly from George Marvel & wife Rutha Jordan, & her grandfather was James A. Marvel. The reason people listed James as Coldwell and Caldwell is because of the way his parents marriage records looks- it actually looks like Coldwell or Colwell, but it's correctly spelled Caldwell. James Caldwell Williams's middle name is his mothers maiden name. James Caldwell Williams was actually born in Indiana, his mother was born in Ky & his father was born in SC. Do you have anything on my Gr Gr Gr Grandparents William Stephen Williams and wife Cordelia Ellet (King) Williams? Both born in Indiana and died in Lamar, Johnson Co, Ark. My Gr Gr Gr Grandfather was the brother of James Caldwell Williams. They were the children of Jesse Williams and Nancy Caldwell/Coldwell/Colwell. I have also been looking for anything on Ellen "Nellie" (Williams) Sharp and husband Thomas M. Sharp- I have a letter dated 5/25/900 on the top, the family assumes it's the year 1900 and yet neither are found in the 1900 census & can not find where they are even buried. They also lived in Lamar, it seems much of my family lived in Lamar. Thank you so much again, you have actually helped me alot in this and I really appreciate it. Kristen kris440@comcast.net
