They lived at Lamar and had a son named Jimmy and a daughter Lizzie. John was a well-digger. He married Charity in Newton Co., Ark, and had several sisters in the Newton Co. area. His parents were Morgan Pierce & Martha Jane (Hines) Pierce. Charity is supposedly buried at Ft. Douglas Cemetery and am told that son Jimmy lived to be an old man, but not sure if he ever married and had children. Many of the Pierce family either stayed in Arkansas, went back to Missouri, or migrated into Oklahoma. Do you know who your Etta Augusta Pierce's parents were?
