He was born about 1811 in VA. His parents were born in Wales. He married Mary ? about 1840. He and Mary had 6 children. Mary died after 1854 and before 1870. Jesse then married Talitha Bohannon November 29, 1871 in Lawrence County AR. Jesse and Talitha had three children as follows: Mary Jane Johnson b. April 25, 1874 William Wesley Johnson b.
