I am searching for James Hammons, s/o Peter II, who married Stacy Broughton in Knox County, KY. They were in Knox County in 1850, and then in Floyd County, KY in 1860 Census. Their daughter, Susannah, married Marshall Hubbard, b. 1830 in Knox County. I think they married in Floyd County abt. 1855. James and Stacy Hammons left Floyd County, KY for Arkansas. My grandfather told me this before he died in 1980. Then Marshall and Susannah Hammons Hubbard followed them to Arkansas. Papa told me that his grandma "Sue" was buried in Boone County, Arkansas. I read on one of the postings that James had a second wife. Do you have any information on this family? Many thanks.
