Granted $75.00 pension on the grounds of old age, and wounds during the war, being a gunshot wound to the head. W. (J or T) Hodges made the declaration of service in St. Clair Co. AL on 24 April 1915. In Johnson Co. AR the declaration was made by D. ?. Clark, accepted by Ben Phillips, 21 May 1915. Dr. Earl Hunt signed the medical forms certifying the wound. This information is in the Arkansas pension application microfilm. It is available at the Ark. State History Commisssion (Little Rock), and the Dallas TX library genealogy dept. There are just a few pages, and this is the sum of information provided. There is NO later widow's application. I also have two probate entries regarding the children of Amos Kendall, who were placed in his care at the death of Amos. Will get them together soon.
