Her name is either Gills Siller Bragg or Siller Gills Bragg as told to me by my family. Her head stone says Sarah which I thought was very strange. Maybe Siller was a nick name.......and who knows how it was spelled.

H. Hickey age 17 to Gills (?) Bragg, 17 both of Silex. married 05 Jan 1896 by Joseph Howard, JP Book G page 258 Pope Co. AR. So there was some question as to how her first name, Gills, was actually spelled. Judging from the way you spelled it,Siller or Celer, I wonder if her name was actually Celia. Lots of times it was spelled the way it was pronounced, not actually the accurate spelling.

I can't be real sure about this but some of the Humphreys went to South Texas . They were some kin to some of the Moses group. I know that some of them were in Alma area in 1914 when my mother was born as one of them (older ones) verified her birth when her birth record could not be found. He said she was born on what was called Red Mountain or Hill.

Smedley, he married my Great Great Grandmother in Johnson Co in 1896. I would like to know what the M.H. stands for and what happened to him? Here's the story I have found out about My Great Grandmother and M.H. Smedley: My Great Great Grandmother was Zilpha Theodocia Frazier born 21 Jun 1866 Fairfield Wayne County Illinois died 6 Sep 1937 Houston Harris County Texas Buried Bearden Ouachita County Arkansas in Salem Cemetery. Her parents were Harrison Frazier and Amanda Campbell. She married 1) James Milton Williams born 22 Jun 1865 Wayne Co. Illinois Died 2 Mar 1940 Bearden Ouachita County Arkansas Buried Salem Cemetery. She married my Great Great Grandfather James on 10 Feb 1884 in Clarksville. He was the son of William Stephen Williams and Cordelia Ellet King from Lamar, Johnson Co Ark. Sometime before 1896 Zilpha, or Docia as she was called, Divorced James (or visa versa) and left their 4 children with James and went back to Johnson Co. Zilpha then married 2) M.H. Smedley (spelled Smelley on the marriage license but it's actually Smedley from what I was told by many people from Johnson Co). What happened to him or this marriage is a mystery to me and my family. This is why I am interested in this man and the Smedley Family. This marriage was preformed by Isaac Newton Frazier who was a minister and the brother of Zilpha. I find Zilpha back with James & the children and living in the home again by 1910 in Bradley Co Arkansas (James worked as a Engineer for the Railroad in the Fordyce Lumber Camp, which covered many Counties in Arkansas).
