She was born in Beebe, Ar in 1890.This is in White Co. She was the D/O Daniel James McIntosh & Almiria Gillespie. They were both born in TN. They migrated to Ar abt 1880. Daniel was a very well know Lawyer in White Co. Lee Burton McIntosh, she went by Bertie Lee, married John W. Cheek Sr, who was born also born in White Co Ar. But he was raised in Altus Ar which is in Johnson Co. His parents were married in Franklin Co. These COs are all close together. You can see my line of McIntosh at my web site http://www.geocities.com/ourfamilytreeus/mcintosh.html I just thought there might be some connection since these were all in the same area. I understand that several of the McIntosh clan migrated to Ar from TN together. Have a good day, Barb

I just read your information regarding Susan Lee. I have the 1870 Franklin county, AR. census which states that Bluford McIntosh, 32 and Susan 28 were living in Arakansas at that time. My Grandmother Sarah age 4 is listed. My Grandmother died when I was 17. I have Bluford McIntosh Civil War records and copy of Susan't request for widow's pension. I have found new records on Susan't parents, however, I don't have it all together yet. Hope to chat with you soon. Barbara Tackett Ewing Smith

At the same time you should check the "unfiled papers" if you have not already. There are soldiers who enlisted in units whose rolls were lost, but later had payments, were in the hospital, etc. where separate records were kept. These are also alphabetical.

He married Madlyn Oliver but left her when my husband was very young. He remarried later on but we don't know if he had any more children and we don't really know anything about the Kinstley family. My husband would like any information anyone could give him. We think that the Frank Kinstley who was married to Mary E. Smith may be some relation.

Had a number ogf brothers,(William, Thomas, for sure, a sister named Mary. I have a picture of her but not the others. She looks to be full-blooded Indian.(At least, that's what I;m told)Cherokee. We went from NC, to Tenn, married there and had several children(girls), then went on to Ill Marion Co, and had my g-g-grandfather, Robert A. Lewis. They were there on the 1840 cccensus, and Walter's mother was also the head of a household. Her name was Susannah Lewis. She later married John Yeatts in Johnson Co, Ark. They were in Ark for the 1850 & 1860 census. She was 97 living in Walter's houshole in 1860. Walter must have died between 1860-1870. None of the names you stated sounded familiar to me, but thanks for responding, anyway. Frances Foreman
