Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hV.2ADE/242.1261.1269.1289.2 Message Board Post: Hi! I read this email and am wondering if you can assist me. I have a G.G.G. Grandmother who's name was Neoma/Naomi Bolden she married Talton Fry. I have her on 3 census by name, in Polk County Arkansas, 1850, 1860, 1870... she lists Tn. as her birth place. I also believe she is on a census in Mo. with the same Husband but, since it is before 1850 for this one I only get her as a married female in the right year range with no name. I am wondering who her parents and siblings might be? I bleieve she would have been born in the early 1800's. And married sometime around 1830-40. Thanks Stacey

I guess you went to Aunt Violet's funeral in July. Sorry I couldn't make it. If you could just type out the address to that site you were looking at where the ship's passenger list were, I'm sure I could probably find it. Did you find where the original Arbaugh came to this country? Linda

I believe the Arbaughs in the Oark area and the one in Horsehead Twp. to be the same line, but I have no personal knowledge of the family. I am familiar with the general location of the cemetery but have never been there. You may want to check out the Johnson County Historical Society's publications page for a Johnson County Cemetery location directory. Wendell and Annita Powell compiled this several years ago and it is an invaluable aid in finding many of the old and neglected cemeteries. There is a link to the Historical Society page from my index page: http://www.cswnet.com/~blackard

I am also interested in the Hays Chapel Methodist Church which is located there. Why was the community named Hays Chapel and who were the first trustees of the church and what year was it started? I am interested in these questions because my ancestor Pleasant I. Fiser (1808-1897) and several of his children moved to Johnson Co.,AR in the early 1880's from Weakley Co.,TN. and Calloway Co.,KY. Pleasant and his brother Archibald J. Fiser (ca1820-ca 1890?) were among the first trustees of a church in Weakley Co.,TN also named Hays Chapel Methodist Church, etablished in 1848. I would like to know if there is a connection here, or whether this is just a coincidence. Any info will be greatly appreciated!
