They lost cause Mary sued and became the executrix. Cicero was living in Ark at the time but left his crops to stay with Tyree the last month of his life. Being left out, he sued for the crops he lost and time spent takeing care of Tyree. I have the film from Mo Archives on that case. I found Ciciero listed in the "A Compendium of the War of the Rebellion". It tells how he was wounded crossing a creek to retreive (or defend?) the ferry.

I am searching for James Hammons, s/o Peter II, who married Stacy Broughton in Knox County, KY. They were in Knox County in 1850, and then in Floyd County, KY in 1860 Census. Their daughter, Susannah, married Marshall Hubbard, b. 1830 in Knox County. I think they married in Floyd County abt. 1855. James and Stacy Hammons left Floyd County, KY for Arkansas. My grandfather told me this before he died in 1980. Then Marshall and Susannah Hammons Hubbard followed them to Arkansas. Papa told me that his grandma "Sue" was buried in Boone County, Arkansas. I read on one of the postings that James had a second wife. Do you have any information on this family? Many thanks.

Finally having his middle name, I searched the SSI and he is deceased 10/10/1998. He was born 4/7/1913 in TN. So, my search is now for any children they might have had. I also have determined that the people in the train pictures are the Poteet's. There are children in the pictures also, so they might be grandchildren. If anyone has any ties to these decendant's and can put me in touch with them, I would be very thankful.
