    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hV.2ADE/1700.1 Message Board Post: In the 1850 Newton County, Arkansas census there is a Rutha age 3 in the household of Thomas Owen age 38 TN and wife Mary age 45 NC. Other children: William 16 TN, Susannah 15 TN, Francis M. MO, Catherine 12 AR, Aaron 12 AR(twins), Mary E. 9 AR, James T. 7 AR, John H. 4 AR, Rutha 3 AR, Anna Jane 3 AR(twins), Barbara 1 AR. Barbara Owen and Aaron Owen also married in Johnson County. There are several people researching this Owen family. William and Susannah Owen were in Newton Co. in 1850. They think Richard Owen born 1804 NC, Thomas born either 1808 or 1812 (depending on which age in the census you use) and Aaron born 1819 KY belong to William and Susannah. I think this family lived along the southwestern line of Newton County where it connects to Johnson County. On Ruthey J. and Hampton Owens marriage license it states they were married at the home of R. T. Owens. This is Hampton's father. Don't know how he fits into these families. My sister-in-law descends from Aaron's family. My maiden name was Owens and this family also lived in Newton County, but much later in the 1880s. So that is why I am keeping track of the Owen family, to see if there could possibly be any connection. So far, I have found none.

I don't know the exact date of thier deaths, that is what I am trying to find out. I think Cora died sometime between Oct. 1912 and Oct. 1915 (possibly around april 1914) and Miller may have died sometime after 1918 but before 1948. Miller also had a nickname "Doc". I don't know which county they were liveing in when they died but I know they lived in Logan County around Blaine and in Johnson county. 2. Hello Listers, I'm researching: I have found where Allen E. BENNETT married Martha Ellen WILSON in Sept 1900 in Conway Co, AR. Their daughter, Martha Caroline BENNETT m. George Elda WILSON. Martha Ellen (BENNETT) WILSON is my husband's g-grandmother and is said to have fathered a child by a Choctaw male living on the reservation in Seminole, Oklahoma. Having trouble locating them anywhere else. These are suppose to have been two separate, unrelated WILSON lines.
