Author: collectrlady Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.jackson/1566.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The Decker Store was about 3 & 1/2 miles due north of Tuckerman, on what is now the southern intersection of Arkansas State Highway 145, and Jackson County Road 69 (aka Decker Store Road). JC Road 69 (gravel) starts at Hwy 145, goes about a mile & a half west, turns north for 2 miles, past both Dowells Chapel (aka Battle Axe) and Centerville Cemeteries, then back east, joining Hwy 145 just before 145 (and the pavement) ends. It is my understanding from talking to older locals that the Decker Store was on the Decker Farm, which was quite extensive.
