Just starting my search for anyone with pioneer Jackson County family information that has these 3 families listed. I am looking for a few brickwalls that may have made temporary or permanent residences from 1850-1870. From my recent research into Tippah County MS and Woodruff County Ark history i find that there were numerous family members that made trips to Jackson County to see family. The names of the family and the exact location are still unclear since i am converting 1850 era diaries into lists of family , friends , neighbors etc. I will try to list a few brickwalls that are all from the same era that are all missing that were known to have been in and around Jackson County various times during 1850 -1870. What i seem to be missing is tha names of family that lived in and around Jackson County that possibly would have adopted and raised many of the children of these families after many of the men did not return from the Civilwar. There is some speculation that after Roderick James Powell Shivers and his wife Nancy Caroline Williams both died rather tragically within 1 year after moving to Ark, the family sold the property and dispersed to other locations leaving behind the Gregory family which still flourishes in Augusta Ark.
