According to the 1880 census, a John Campbell and his wife, Babe, were living in Bird Township, Jackson County, Arkansas. They had two children, Belle, born in 1875, and Emma born in 1887. John's brother William (age 18) was also living with them. Does anyone know anything about this family? I believe it may be my gg-grandfather and gg-grandmother. By 1881, a son, John W. Campbell was born (my g-grandfather)but I don't have any record of who his mother was and I think it may have been this Babe. By the next census available, (1900) John Campbell has remarried to a woman named Mary and I don't know what happened to Babe or if the daughters had married. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I don't know Babe's last name but the census said she was born in Kentucky. According the LDS FamilySearch site, she and John Campbell were married in 1874 in Arkansas. Any help would be appreciated!
