Is there an index? I would guess that ere with the Paynes'.the other child was born between 1874 and 1896. My mom said that her mom never really talked much about her parents, and that Alice had married "Mr Hill" in Arkansas, which I never could find a record. I would guess she married him in Red River Co, after moving there with the Paynes'. I found out that my Grandfather also taught school in Clarksville in the 1930's.
