Does anyone have information on the Rogers family who lived in Newport in the very early 1900's? I'm thinking specifically about "Kurg"? and Mattie Rogers. They had ties to Rogers in Hardeman County, Tennessee. My grandmother, Mary Ellen Josephine Rogers, who was a young girl at the time from Tennessee, came and lived with them in the Newport area for a while as a youngster, and I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to learn more about her family tree. I believe Kurg may have been her uncle.
