Two of my mother's brothers, Ray Kinder and Joe Kinder, ran two of the grocery stores in Swifton. My grandfather was E.B. Kinder and he lived in Swifton until he was moved into a nursing home in Swifton in the 1990s. He passed away last year. My late aunt Alma Jean Benson and her husband Jack Benson ran a gas station across the railroad tracks in Swifton for years. Most of my aunts still live in Swifton. My father's side of the family also comes from Swifton. Samuel Self and Clara Self were my grandparents and Noel Self is my father. My father was a minister for many years in and around the entire Jackson county area. I would be interested in knowing what information you obtain.
