Good Morning Jackson County Listers: I to am searching the Smith and Jones families. Ain't I lucky :) Always knew about the Jones', I was born one, LOL. Thought I would die when I found dear old Dad had Smith blood too. My Smith's - GEORGE (possible middle initial "K") SMITH ended up in White County, AR. He left TN went to MO & settled in AR. His granddaughter(my 2nd great grandmother) ORPHA J. SMITH m. NICKLAU/NICKLAS BLOCK they settled in Jackson County, outside Newport, AR. Orpha's father was ELIJAH SMITH, mother MALINDA PUCKETT. I have a good amount of information on this family of 10 children. Anything look familiar? Now for the JONES Family. They ended up in Jackson County, AR, mid 1800's after being dropped there by a UFO from an unknown planet. Rumor has it that the UFO may have tried to leave them around Calico Rock, Izard County, AR first. Due to eradict flight patterns of UFO's it has been impossible to determine pre-Jackson County landings with certainty.... My 2nd great grandfather was JOHN THOMAS "TOM" JONES - great grandfather JOHN THOMAS "TOM" JONES (no I didn't stutter :) Grandfather DEWEY JONES, father LESLEY THOMAS "TOM" JONES. In case your wondering :> my oldest brother - Tom Jones. Oh yeah - both great-grandfathers married PARNELL'S. Anyone with any information or connections would be much loved and appreciated! If you can call me cousin I promise not to tell anyone I am an alien from another planet :->) Other Independence, Jackson County surnames I am searching include: SUMMERS - MANUEL - RAWLINGS - TURNER - LUCAS - OVERTURF - et. al.
