HOUSE born about 1831 GA married my gg grandmother Parthenia ANDREWS 1851 Wilkes, GA. She was the daughter of Michael L. (?Latham) ANDREWS b 1797 GA and Parthenia PULLIN / PULLEN b 1805 GA. There were other HOUSE in Wilkes Co, but I can't relate George to them. Lot, Dennis and Leiston or Liston. Look at the 1850 census for Lincoln, GA and you will find the Michael L. ANDREWS household, and George HOUSE is the overseer in the household. The ANDREWS mother and daughter named Parthenia show up as Bethena and Berthena in various records. I have the old family bible of Parthenia the daughter born 1834-35 GA, and in it the ANDREWS name is shown as ANDERS, (after they went to AR) but the whole family on the 1850 census in GA is there, plus other children in the bible that died young, and deaths of some of the family are recorded. Parthenia ANDREWS (Anders) HOUSE and her husband migrated 1855-56 to eastern Arkansas, St.Francis / Monroe / and also Woodruff County area. The seem to live not far from Cotton Patch and Brinkley, AR. In 1860 in AR the ANDREWS parents are shown as Mich. ADAMS, but their son Cornelius is in the household, and other sons Charles and William are nearby, as are Parthenia HAUS and George, and sisters Mary Catherine ANDREWS who has married Andrew J. MUNNS / MUNS, and Julia Ann ANDREWS PULLEN MUNNS. Julia Ann's James PULLEN husband had died and she had remarried William MUNNS. The sister Henrietta Elizabeth also married a MUNNS, sometimes shown as MUNS. I am getting ready to order the Loose Probate Records for Julia Ann MUNNS who died Nov. 1861 (bible record) as I found her indexed in Woodruff County AR Loose Probate records. George N. or M. HOUSE / HAUS and wife Parthenia had some children .... Julia Ann Caledonia "Cally" or Calley or Callie HOUSE born before they left GA, who went to live for some reason with Parthenia's brother Charles on the 1870 census in Monroe Co AR after George had died. By then Parthenia was married to E. (Edward) HOLLEMAN / HOLMAN, who died 1873 (bible) ...and by 1880 Parthenia is married to her last husband Dillard L. COOPER. They married 1876 and in 1880 are in Brinkley, Monroe Co, AR. with extended family and some nephews also. Cally house drops off the map, but I think she married, possibly to a BRUMBLEY or BRUMLY and possibly went to live in Jackson County in 1900s where I find a possibility for her on census records. Not sure, but my mother remembers and Aunt Callie ... Mother was born 1920 Newport, jackson Co, AR. Other HOUSE children were Martha and Alex, born in AR between 1856 and 1862. I have been unable to track them. On the 1910 census in Jackson Co, AR in the McLAIN household of her daughter Clara COOPER McLAIN and husband Wm. David McLAIN, Parthenia is shown as having 8 children, 5 surviving. By her various husbands, that would be Annie who married HUNNICUT, Lizzie who married MALOY, Clara who married McLAIN, William Edward HOLLEMAN / HOLMAN who had 2 marriages--last to Rosie Betty PHILLIPS, and ?? maybe Callie as the #5 child ... or perhaps Alex. Parthenia died about 1915 (bible and AR death records) in Newport, AR but I can't find her burial site either in Monroe County brinkley area where she had long lived ... or in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport where the McLAIN family has many graves. Lots of info here .... hoping something clicks with someone.
