I am looking for information on the family of Elisha Preston PAYNE, b. March 18, 1877 in Newport, Jackson Co., AR to Chesley PAYNE and Martha C. DAVIS. Chesley may have been the son of Preston PAYNE of Moulton, Lawrence Co., AL. I believe that Elisha's brother James E. PAYNE (b. about 1869), sister Mary B.F. PAYNE (b. about 1871), and brother Robert S. PAYNE (b. about 1873) were also born in Newport, Jackson Co., AR. However, the family may have spent time in Poinsett Co. Chesley may have had the following siblings: Matthew/Mathew PAYNE, John PAYNE, Milley PAYNE, Ruthey/Rutha PAYNE, Michael B. PAYNE, Sarah PAYNE, Elisha PAYNE, Preston PAYNE, and Ida PAYNE.
