Kay, I too found Calvin M. Prine in the 1880 census in Douglas Co., Missouri and again in 1900 in Campbell Twsp., Douglas Co., Missouri enumerated with his son John M. Prine and his family. Calvin is listed as age 75, a widower born Sept. 1824 in Tennessee. I could not find him in Jackson Co., Arkansas and according to your statements he would have been deceased by 1908. I did however look on the Douglas Co., Missouri death index that is on line and one of the sons, Jefferson T. Prine died there on 3-2-1953 and is buried in Walnut Grove Cem in Smallest, Missouri. His parents are listed as Calvin Prine and Elizabeth Smith. His wife who died in April 1938 is listed as Martha Jennings Prine. According to this record, Jeff was born in Springfield, Mo. which is in Green County. Hope this helps you a little with your search.
