Esther's name was handed down in my family. I have info on her and the collard family-- but having problems with him. our records Baby books state he was born in Iowa. Also there is an indian connection- maybe sioux. my great grandmother- his dauther- Esther Johnson Jenkins was dark skinned and the indian connection was always attributed to her father.
