Hello, I would like to correspond with folks who may be researching the following: ALEXANDER BRITT( b. NC 1806) and wife NANCY (PREVATT(?))circa 1860s living in Jackson Co. Their son, THOMAS F BRITT (b Miss. 1842 d. 1906)and ANNA E COMBS 1860-1920s living in Jackson Co.or any of their children. Julia born 1870, Ida born 1883, Alice b. 1880, Luvena born 1878, Jacob b 1883, John F. born 1885. Thomas had in his household JAMES and possibly MARY or MARTHA who I believe to be a children of ELI WINSLOW and DEMARIAS BRITT. (Demarias is mentioned in Alexander's will, along with Thomas and Harriet) My belief is that Thomas took in his sister's children after her death. James and his sister Mary/Martha may have become known as "Britt" instead of carrying their WINSLOW name. DEMARIAS BRITT-WINSLOW had a brief second marriage after Eli Winslows death. She married ABRAM MAY on Nov 8, 1869. She died April 24, 1870. I would like to correspond with any person of the above families who may be researching this family. A professional researcher has done some of the work on tracing my g-grandmother MARTHA BRITT who more than likely died in 1890-93. Too soon for her children to remember much about her. My main interest is finding out about MARTHA/MARY, and all of these names mentioned above may hold the key to her and add a lot to my search. Regards, Barbara
