Hi List--I am trying to chase down a Howard family. There were in Jackson County AR on the 1870 census. The family, at that time, was Samuel, 46, NC, Elizabeth, 33, TN, James H, 16, AR, Richard, 9, AR, Darthula, 6, AR and Clementine, 3, AR. On the 1880 census they were in Faulkner County, AR. This time it was HOWARD, Shirly, 57, NC, Elizabeth, 41, TN and Clementine, 12, AR. According to the Jackson County Web Site there was a James H Howard that married a Martha Abston. I know there is a J H Howard in Jackson County on the 1880 census. The census reads HOWARD, J H, 25, AR, Mitty, 30, TN, Malta, 7, AR, Willie, 5, AR and Baby, 1 mo, AR. I think this is the family but not sure. I am also wonder if anyone has any cemetery records for an Abston family that lived in Jackson County on the 1860 census. Any help will be appreciated.
