She had a brother Matthew Swan and I believe their father was Edward Swan and that they were in TN at that time, could be Franklin County or Coffee County. My g grandfather was George Washington Baker, he was raised by someone other than his parents as they divorced and I can't find him on the census as a child with either of his parents. i think he may have been raised by a Swan and it seems that where ever he lived there was a Swan near him. In 1880 census he is in Jackson Cty, AR and I believe there is a Jacob Swan near him and that signed surety for him when he was appointed guardian over four Foley children. George W. Baker married Elizia Jones had three children with her and lived in Tuckerman area after 1880. I think that is where she died and he then married again, Elizabeth . .. in Woodruff County, AR and then they moved to Little River Ct! y, AR. But it seems there was always a Swan family living near by the Baker family. I am trying to determine who really raised George W. Baker .. . . Thank you for your help. I really don't know too much about the Swan's, I am just beginning to piece the story together, but, I bet you that your Swan is related to the bunch from Jackson County, AR .. . .
