A mention of the death but no official obituary was in the Tuckerman Record on July 15, 1927 stating that George was removed to Hoburg, Missouri where he was buried. He had parents living. In the Arkansas Death index on Ancestry.com, George is also listed as having died 11 July, 1927 in Jackson County. According to the draft cards from WWI, George Levie Nathaniel Dameron was born June 30, 1875 and was a section foreman on the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was married to Novella C. Dameron and lived in Battlefield, Greene Co., Arkansas. He is listed as having medium height and build with brown eyes and brown hair. This information is available on Ancestry.com I believe this is George L. Jr.'s father. I have found Martin Slaughter and 3 children in the 1900 Jackson Co. AR Census living with his brother-in-law William Watson. In the 1910 Census the 2 sons are listed with their uncle, from word of mouth I knew that Martin probably died about 1905 but no one knows where his grave is located. I had assumed that Martin was the son of Sylvester Slaughter from the 1880 Jackson Co. AR Census. If you like you can email me directly at mcarter56@cox-internet.com
